Welcome to Jarvis Appliance. Jarvis Appliance provide their services to you subject to the following terms and conditions. If you visit or shop at Jarvis Appliance, you agree to accept these terms and conditions. Your 100% Satisfaction is our goal. Please take the time to read the details below about our store policy and delivery service to minimize errors and ensure that your Jarvis sales experience is a pleasurable one. Jarvis' Role

  • Standard In-Home delivery of new unit. Standard delivery refers to first and second floor deliveries for buildings or residences without elevator access.
  • Removal of an existing disconnected unit on a one-for-one basis.
  • Normal installation of electrical appliances to existing fittings. Installation refers to washers and dryers (not stacked), electric ranges and refrigerators connected to existing standard services. Please be aware that it is a fire hazard to install dryer vents to plastic duct. Custom installations are at an additional charge but do not include gas installations, modifying cabinets, counter tops or hard wired electrical appliances.
  • Within 24 hours of your delivery date, you will be notified with a 3 hour time window.
  • To prevent damage to your property and for the health of our delivery team, we cannot remove any appliances containing grease, oil or pests of any type. This also includes any bio hazardous material.
  • We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by removal of old appliances.
  • Jarvis drivers do not install or uninstall any gas or hard wired electrical appliances, nor do they alter any cabinets or counter tops or install anti-tip brackets.

Customers' Role

  • Measure all doors, hallways and staircases to assure that your appliances will fit. We cannot alter or exchange doors, door trims or moldings.
  • To protect your property and our delivery personnel, we require safe access into your home. Please make sure that all paths and walkways are clear of snow, ice and debris. If areas are not prepared for safe access your delivery will be rescheduled and a second attempt delivery fee will be charged.
  • We require 24 hours notice of any changes to your address, contact number or sales order to reschedule.
  • If your delivery date was not confirmed at time of sale, please allow a minimum of 10 business days to schedule delivery of your order.
  • Any delivery that may become hazardous to your home or our delivery team may not be performed and may require a third party to crane the appliances at an additional expense to you.
  • Problems or damage to your property caused by our delivery team must be reported to our customer service department within 24 hours. Please call (781) 235-5112.
  • We gladly accept the following forms of payment: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, certified check or cash. All orders must be paid in full prior to delivery.
  • The customer or agent authorized by the customer must sign for all products. Products will not be left without a signature.
  • Jarvis does not deliver to the islands, but will deliver to the transport company of the customer's choosing. You are responsible for delivery to the end destination. Ownership of merchandise passes upon delivery to the transport company. Freight claims should be made with the transport company for any damages. Damages or suspected damages should be noted on the bill of lading at time of delivery. The transport company is responsible for the repair of any merchandise damaged while in their possession.

Cancellation and Refunds

Refunds will be issued on all stock items cancelled before delivery or pick up. Special order items are non cancellable all other items subject to 25% restocking fee. Refunds will be issued by crediting the card you paid on or by check. If you paid by check, please allow 10 business days for refund. No cash refunds.

If you require service please contact our Service Department at 781-235-5116 and we will schedule a trained technician to evaluate the appliance.


Warranty

Products sold come with manufacturer's limited time warranty. In addition Jarvis Appliance offers Extended Service Contracts that may be purchased at time of sale.


Product Returns

Appliances/Plumbing: Product returns must be made within 7 days of the date you receive your order. Product must be packaged in the original undamaged complete packaging. Previously installed, special orders or special modifications cannot be returned under any circumstances. All accessories, clean instruction books, and warranty card must all be returned. Product that does not meet these criteria or has been used may, at Jarvis' discretion, not be accepted as a return, or may be subject to significant restocking fees in an amount representative of the condition of the product or its packaging. Jarvis reserves the right to decline ANY exchange or accept the return of ANY product other than the product that is initially defective after the 7 day period. Refunds for products being returned will be issued only once the products are received back at Jarvis and meet our product return criteria as listed. Return of product that does not fit will be subject to additional restocking and shipping/delivery fees.


Floor Models

All items must be paid in full and delivered within 14 days from date of purchase. All items are sold as is, all sales final, no returns, no refunds and no layaways. (Units come with manufacturer's warranty; you may purchase an extended warranty at time of purchase.) If the Jarvis Service Department determines that the unit is non-repairable; Jarvis will issue a refund for the purchase price of the unit only.


License and Site Access

Jarvis Appliance grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Jarvis Appliance and Retailer Web Services LLC. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this site or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. This site or any portion of this site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without express written consent of Jarvis Appliance and Retailer Web Services LLC. You are granted a limited, revocable, and nonexclusive right to create a hyperlink to the home page of Jarvis Appliance so long as the link does not portray Jarvis Appliance, its affiliates, or their products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter. You may not use any Jarvis Appliance logo or other proprietary graphic or trademark as part of the link without express written permission.


Your Account

If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Jarvis Appliance and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.


Risk of Loss

All items purchased from Jarvis Appliance are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.


Cardholder Agreement

When you make purchases from Jarvis Appliance using your major credit card, you agree to honor the terms and conditions of your cardholder agreement. Jarvis Appliance is not responsible for items lost in shipping (see "Risk of Loss")


Product Descriptions

Jarvis Appliance and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, Jarvis Appliance does not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by Jarvis Appliance itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.


Pricing

Except where noted otherwise, the List Price displayed for products on our website represents the full retail price listed on the product itself, suggested by the manufacturer or supplier, or estimated in accordance with standard industry practice; or the estimated retail value for a comparably featured item offered elsewhere. The List Price is a comparative price estimate and may or may not represent the prevailing price in every area on any particular day. For certain items that are offered as a set, the List Price may represent "open-stock" prices, which means the aggregate of the manufacturer's estimated or suggested retail price for each of the items included in the set.


We cannot confirm the price of an item until you order; however, we do NOT charge your credit card until after your order has entered the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

Disputes

Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to Jarvis Appliance or to products you purchase through Jarvis Appliance shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Phoenix, Arizona, except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate Jarvis Appliance's or Retailer Web Services LLC's intellectual property rights, Jarvis Appliance or Retailer Web Services LLC may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the state of Arizona, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Modification, and Severability

Most companies will either cover all of the fraudulent purchases or hold you liable for a maximum of $50.00.


In the unlikely event that your credit card company discovers credit card fraud, and holds you liable for some portion of the unauthorized charges, there is no need to worry. Provided the purchase was made through our secure server, we will reimburse you for the remaining liability up to a maximum of $50.00. This is standard practice on the internet, and just part of the reason why people prefer shopping with Jarvis Appliance.


You can always order by mailing the check or money order if you feel insecure using the internet to purchase.
